Worth a look. But such is/was the world where the nuclear threat was inserted surreally into everyone's daily existence (see also Peter Watkins' The War Game, filmed around the same time in Britain). However, I was there primarily for the sci-fi in Hammerscope this time and it doesn't really disappoint - perhaps it feels even weirder (these cold-as-ice children and their predicament) because it's crammed uneasily into another picture. It doesn't entirely coalesce but around halfway through things started to become interesting - of course, the earlier uncomfortable social dynamics are probably more consistent with director Joseph Losey's other output (especially when he started working with Pinter). Odd blend of social drama (in which an American ex-pat pursues a young British girl but gets harassed by her brother and his band of "teddy boys") and science fiction (in which they stumble into an underground cave where a scientist has been raising children from birth contacting them only through a video screen)

The entire movie is inside a warehouse and let me remind you you're not watching Reservoir Dogs. Boring, boring, boring. Impossible to stay interested in the story solely because this story is older than cinema itself

One of the worst sequels I've ever seen. Just a horrible waste of time. They clearly had run out of ideas fast because they film adds in animation that is completely out of place at the beginning and end to pan the length and a couple of the plot strands get left in the dust. This one ratchets up the gore, throws in distasteful stunts, and is not fun to watch at all. The first one had an old school charm about it that made for a reasonably entertaining, albeit conventional, horror film. The acting is terrible, the writing is so bad it made me cringe every time a character spoke, and the story is so stupid that you can't take it seriously whatsoever. I completely understand why Ti West tried to get his name off of this film, but how much of the blame he should take is still up in the air for discussion. To say this is an awful film doesn't do it justice

I can see how it would upset sensitive viewers, but the film's obvious lightheartedness and self-aware production values render this a relatively harmless form of titilation. Enjoy the *cough* cinematography and do your best to ignore the (almost non-existent) plot and (ropey) acting. Definitely a guilty pleasure

R's voice is mesmerising in this movie!. A v good, if slightly odd film

That pretty much killed it. The acting was pretty brutal for the most part and the dialogue was ridiculous as far as the worshipers went

BUY. A. O. I was so happy to hear stories from of my favourite bands like black flag, bad brains, minor threat, & circle jerks BUT the best think for me was that they talked and added Canadian punk legends and my icon Joey "shithead" Keithley and talked about D. This movie looks at the American hardcore punk scene 1980-1986. I f'n love this documentary!!! This is my music
