Guy S (de) wrote: Grittier than the last two films from Casper, he is perhaps the most compelling part of the film in the role of a strung-out addict. Casper's transition from charming to psycho is completely believable.
Michael R (it) wrote: Smart, thrilling and action packed. This is a much needed improvement over the series last entry. Skyfall is an impressive return to form for Daniel Craig. The film delves deeper into the dark and gritty roots of this rebooted Bond, but manages to give plenty of familiar nods to the character's rich cinematic history. Throw in an impressive and memorable villain and you have most of the ingredients for a classic 007 adventure.

Michael M (us) wrote: There is a 3 hour version, a 2 hour and 20 minute version, and a 2 hour version. I watched the 2 hour version that's on Netflix Instant Viewing. The first half of the film was great and has an exciting dark plot. The second half introduces a lot of new characters and the scenes seem too scattered. I'm sure the longer versions of the film have a lot more detail to the plot to help fulfill the story. I was not expecting to be as entertained as I was with this film, especially for being 100 years old. From a few reviews I've read about this film, it seems to have been a nice foundation film especially for the epic genre. I recommend this film to those who love film history and if you enjoyed classics like Ben-Hur or Spartacus. I recommend reading the review by Roger Ebert on this film. Story: 4, Cinematography: 4, Acting: 4, Score: 4. Total Score: 4/5

Faye T (nl) wrote: nope. Just nope. Panders to the "torture porn" crowd. It attempts to be deep and philosophical about the creation of "martyrs" but really its all about torturing a woman to death. Sorry, nothing novel or worth recommending here.
