Scott A (de) wrote: If you were a fan of Dogtown and Z-boys then you need to see this. While never being a skater myself, I've always greatly admired the art and talent of those who are. This documentary shows how 5 skaters took skateboarding and helped evolve it into what we all know it to be today.

Tim P (au) wrote: Ok I remember why I love indie films now, for awhile I just fell out of watching them, but this movie reminded me of how good they really are. I love a movie that is just well written, without any flare or attention grabbing bologna, just a well written story that you can relate to. That's this movie...

Private U (nl) wrote: imagine the most boring conversation you have ever overheard on the street and now imagine someone filming it and you having to watch it. but this is not mumblecore at its worst. this time you get color, and from the 15 minutes i watched, is nicely shot.

Robin N (au) wrote: American Outlaws is not your typical Western movie. And I(TM)m not really sure how accurate it is (and I(TM)m not about to scour the internet to find out). But it isn(TM)t labeled as a documentary. It(TM)s an entertaining movie about the Old West and the James/Younger gang. The premise of the movie is the gang vs. the railroad. The boys come back from the Civil War to find the Union Army in their small town and the railroad trying to buy? up the land. The gang stands up to the railroad(TM)s men, thus starting their career as outlaws. The central figure is Jesse James, played by Colin Farrell. Unfortunately, Farrell makes an uninspiring and unbelievable Jesse James. His accent often got in the way, taking away from the feeling of the scene. Ali Larter plays his love interest well enough, though I was glad she had limited screen time. Gabriel Macht plays Frank James, who really steals the scene. He made Frank into a charismatic, intelligent character. And of course, there(TM)s Scott Caan as Cole Younger. Caan has always brought an energy, attitude and believability to his characters. And it was so much fun watching him play Cole. Timothy Dalton made a good antagonist for the gang as railroad security man Allan Pinkerton. And Kathy Bates was a lot of fun to watch as Ma James.Ultimately, this was a fun movie, and one I(TM)d watch again. For people who like fun Westerns, this would make a good movie. And for fans of either Scott Caan or Colin Farrell (or both!) this is a must-watch!

Alex H (gb) wrote: Madcap performances and visual direction make this mostly a treat, but the freewheeling tone kinda confused the story for me. The inevitable end rushes up and I was like, oh yeah, this isn't really a coming of age story, I dunno what's going on. It's interesting to see how Jackson's love for swooping revolving zooming crazy shots has carried all the way through LotR into The Hobbit franchise.

Sterlin R (us) wrote: Bill Murray's hit comedy movie, "Groundhog Day", is pure gold.

Mike S (ca) wrote: Childhood classic. The film still hold ups up, even though it's an Arnold movie, when Arnold was still in his prime. Everyone should see this once.
