When Hanky Pranky (alias Schucks), star of a candid camera TV show, loses his job to affirmative action, he applies for a job at a stress academy. It´s not long before Schucks discovers his new boss, Jack Paddaman, is as crooked as they come, but it´s too late: the employment contract is signed and sealed.A year passes, and Schucks is no better off. However, his candid camera videos, which poke fun at all sectors of post-1994 South Africa, prove a big hit with stressed-out government ministers. When the president asks Paddaman to make a movie to benefit street children, Schucks and his pals do all the hard work while Paddaman plans how he can get hold of the profits from the video sales. Add a scatterbrained secretary, a lovelorn traffic cop and a cunning street child and you have a roll-in-the aisles comedy with a distinctly South African flavour.

After serving in the Russian Navy, Asa (Askhat Kuchinchirekov) returns to the Kazakh steppe, living with his sister (Samal Yeslyamova) and brother-in-law (Ondasyn Besikbasov) while he tries to court the only unmarried young woman within hundred of kilometres. As a sort of documentary, TULPAN will be an interesting experience for viewers in the West, capturing the desolation of the Kazakh steppe and the hard work that herders there must do to eke out a living. Some of the younger characters feel the draw of the big city, whose modernity offers them an easier life than the dull steppe. As a linguist, I found that the film represented well the Russian-Kazakh code-switching common after the Soviet era, which only underscores how these people feel torn between two worlds. The arguable climax of the movie comes with Asa assisting the real-life birth of a sheep, which is depicted realistically so that the audience learns something, but thankfully not too graphically. But as fiction, I am less impressed with the film. I get the feeling that Asa's pursuit of Tulpan was the centre of the original script, but was mostly set aside after Dvortsevoy decided to improvise much of the film. The result is a lack of substance outside the pure observation of traditional life. All in all, it's worth seeing once and you'll learn something, but it's no classic.

Justin B (fr) wrote: Urge starring Pierce Bronson and Danny Mastering and one of the most underrated gorgeous actresses in the biz Ashely Greene was not well received well by the critics but the movie in my opinion was definity worth seeing I thought it was action packed and suspenseful movie throughout the whole movie keeping me entertained and on my edge of my seat throughout the entire movie . This movie was also entriging for it sex appeal it keeps ur blood pumping throughout the movie if u know what I mean guys lol ! Ashely Greene is drop dead gorgeous in this movie and her attitude makes her even more sexy especially with her woredrobe in the bedroom scene were Teresa played by Ashely Greene ties up Neil played Danny mastering from that 70s show known as hied and the other two women in this film are gorgeous as well and filled with jaw dropping sex scenes ! I would tell people that like suspencful action packed drama movies that involve murder, sex, drugs, clubbing scene and balls to the wall outta control partying like project X would definity like this movie! But in Urge instead of high schoolers doing the crazy out of control partying it's the rich and famous who do the outta control partying !This movie keeps you on ur toes not knowing what's gonna happen amongst the six friends and who is gonna make it to the ferry and get off the island alive or if any will make it off the island alive!!! The Urge starring pierce Bronson plays the part of the club owner / drug dealer known to everyone as simply The Man and Pierce Bronson maybe even playing the devil in human form that is left for u to interpret and decided for yourself but in my opinion he's pure evil. He the devil in my mind! Pierce Bronson is called The Man because his drug creation has made him the very rich and popular wit everyone on the island everyone wants to hang wit him hence giving him the name The Man for his role in the movie. By giving him the name The man it leaves things open and suspense by not knowing who he truly is! The movie had many underlying messages throughout the movie about society as a whole where society is and where it's going? Straight down the drain in many people's opinion this is echoed by the director with the whole Good vs evil in the movie does good always triump over evil? or will evil prevail? The Mans whole prospective is an interesting one saying he never killed anyone by giving them the drug urge by simply explaining that he told everyone the only rule bout the drug urge is that u can only take it once! But of course no one follows the rules that were given and the drug has some ,dangerous everlasting, severely damaging side effects and for majority of people that take it more then once death is almost a certain by the side effects or by others that have taken the drug killing u! Ashely Greene is masterful and looked absolutely gorgeous especially in my favorite scene the bedroom scene where Neil is tied up omg! in this movie she played Neil's personal assistant / bitchy gf spectacular no one could have played the role better just the right amount of arrogance snottiness and being a prude bitch! Without further adue and not ruining the movie urge is better the the critics advertise if your mid teens or earlier thirties it a movie worth seeing! Thanks let me know how I did on my first movie review please leave comments
