Margarita S (jp) wrote: 2.5 out of 5 starsThis is the poor man's Amelie. It tries to be charming and quirky, but spills over into over exaggerated caricature. The storyline is simple and the characters are likeable. The two main characters though are exasperatingly too similar which sometimes makes for a flat love story.

Like The Wrong Man, this (beautifully filmed in noirish black and white) is chock full of Catholic imagery and bravura performances by the principals, but the melodramatic script renders this only Hitchcock lite, which is still better than a lot.

Brian O (br) wrote: Fascinating story, set in the underworld of illegal immigrants in London. I hope being an illegal immigrant isn't THIS tough - I wouldn't wish this life on anyone. The cast gave a great on-screen performance, including Chiwetel Ejiofor, who played my favorite cinematic villain in Serenity - here as the protagonist Okwe, a Nigerian immigrant with a shrouded past. Well worth the 96 minutes!
