Peter R (ag) wrote: This film just feels all wrong. It starts off reasonably, with some promise, you think this could be ok - then it starts to fall apart before your eyes. The performances and direction are pretty ordinary, not helped by the confused plot which never really adds up to much. Miami Vice, meets MTV, meets a muddled recollection of Angel Heart. Ving Rhames does a pretty reasonable job as the bad man but it all feels like they tried too hard to make something a bit out-there and tough and ended up with a mangy mongrel no one wants to give a home to.

Ben C (au) wrote: Dario Argento's later work is very sloppy and poor, but you can definitely see where he tried his hardest to make this film likable. The truth is: there isn't much likable about Do You Like Hitchcock? Although, a nice homage to Hitchcock thrillers, Do You Like Hitchcock? is a dull film that just exploits Hitchcock's best work. If this movie had more relatable characters and maybe didn't have a lack of pace and didn't have obvious twists, this may have been a decent movie.

Dan G (ru) wrote: Actually not a bad movie, considering it's 40 years old. A solid plot, pretty good story line, and overall, not too bad of a story.

Gordon C (kr) wrote: Not quite as engaging as Metropolis, but still a significant achievement. I can't help thinking that Herg got a lot of the ideas for Tintin: Explorers on the Moon from this movie. Some odd things: they show pictures of the dark side of the moon presumably taken by terrestrial telescopes - how is this possible? Another movie in which a space voyage includes a stowaway (seems to be a very early sci-fi clich - already done in Aelita prior to this film). In the weirdest mix of science and junk-science, upon arrival at the moon they go looking for water with a divining rod!!
