The premise is promising enough with a love story during a future third World War. The romance, however, does not feel real enough. I'm not sure where the movie wanted to go, but by the end, How I Live Now is worth maybe a view for the great cinematography, good performances, and for being more ambitious than most of its YA counterparts.

Though a bit exxagerated the story does make a good transition into the American dream we all desire. A great quote, "I love poor food." Watch it with a group especially if they are Hispanics. Enjoy!

Sort of does for priests what "The Right Stuff" does for astronauts- forces you to respect and admire them. Robert Bresson's films may be slow going but once they get into you, they get into you, right to the core of your being.
