Chris R (gb) wrote: 'Hatchet II' actually manages to be even less interesting than its predecessor, with a lack of...well pretty much anything that resembles the type of genre piece that it smugly thinks it is. Sorry 'Hatchet II', but I don't think we'll be seeing you on any top 10 nostalgic horror films 10 years from now.

Andy S (ag) wrote: Absolutely outstanding documentary for cinephiles and all those who love the process of how films are made. Great interviews from Shane Black, John Carpenter, Paul Shrader, William Goldman, Frank Darabont and on and on.. A great "behind the scenes" stroybook of what it is to be a screenwriter in Hollywood today.

rainbodragon (ca) wrote: I hated Fight Cub, but found this to be much more thoughtful without the overwhelming amount testosterone. I thought it swayed back and forth between sincere and hostile, but that is the whole point. It isn't just some raunchy sex movie.

Tedrico L (au) wrote: It's been a while since I watched an anime film that was not Pixar or Disney themed. This movie is a gem. It makes me want to go back and watch the classics again ... like Akira and Ghost In The Shell. The animation was top notch. Make no mistake .... Japan has America beat in animation .. hands down .. but this (animation) is some of the best I've yet to see come out of The Empire State. This movie is not for children under 12 .. but it will make a great family outing for adolescents and their parents. It comes highly recommended.

Jairo A (it) wrote: Final Destination has a pretty cool concept, and in the first movie, it's executed pretty well. Also, the actors were better in the first film. Overall, a pretty good flick! 3.5/5 OR 7/10

Yash B (fr) wrote: Unlike the endless sequels, this one's truly a classic. It's a ridiculous story but it's a really charming movie that is a lot of fun. It's a very silly movie that made me smile a lot as a kid, and makes me smile a lot even today. If you can use your imagination and get past the preposterous nature of the plot, it's a fun movie for sure.

Zach M (us) wrote: More goofy humour from those killer tomatoes.

Patrick M (es) wrote: Distinctly British yet universal, this film, inspired by the music by The Who, is a powerful coming of age story featuring a fantastic performance by Phil Daniels.

Harry E (ca) wrote: This most definitely needs a second viewing. It's the hardest to follow of Lester's films that I've seen (though it's not quite 'avant-garde' as it's described on the video box), but its potency as anti-war satire definitely comes across. In that regard, the film is devastating, even though it's a comedy. This is among the films that have struck me hardest with the tragic futility of war, the others being Paths of Glory and Lessons of Darkness. A very absurd film, which is key to why it works.

Kay A (mx) wrote: The iconic book was butchered in this on screen adaptation. Even if you can see past the movie not sticking to the source material, which it would have benefited greatly on, the movie really fails on having a good plot, acting and climax. Do yourself a favor and read the book instead.
