Bill R (mx) wrote: The production value on this was the highlight of this film and it gets an extra half star for the only character in the story making it fun when she was on screen. she was also the one they should have gotten more into because I found her more interesting then the typical girl they made the story about. The pacing was bad throughout. it took a while to get into the swing of the movie and then like an out of shape runner came back to a very slow pace. I've seen worse movies but it's not a recommendation on my part.

Donald R (it) wrote: I Am Number Four is a fun movie and has something for a variety of audiences. It is obviously a YA novel adaptation, which probably accounts for a great number of negative critical reactions, and of the book fans' negative reactions. Remembering that no movie can mirror any source material to everyone's satisfaction and that adaptations of YA novels will always bear some tropes which have been seen time and time again.... this movie is an enjoyable time of entertainment. Though it may be unlikely to have a sequel, and in my opinion a sequel would have to depart from the book series a bit in tone and storytelling, I'm hoping that the filmmakers will take a chance on it. I would love to see the story go forward from here. For those with younger children, there certainly are places to watch out for and use your judgment on when your children are old enough (or ever will be) to watch I Am Number Four. Certainly, because the movie has something that a wide variety of audiences will enjoy, it also has something that such a variety will dislike. For me, I love action sequences and especially enjoyed the amazing climax of this movie. If you love action, you will love parts of this movie at least.

Karen B (es) wrote: This movie is the quintessential 80s filler movie, complete with rock music, and music video styled moments. It's not worth a watch unless you have an obsession with the 80s, love the "Brat Pack" films, or cannot stay away from young Rob Lowe.

simon d (ru) wrote: This is an excellent horror film from the Highagate cemetary opening sequence till the end. The stories are well thought and planned and there is not a gorefest like todays modern horrors, it has more of a creepy erie feeling which i like, my favorite characters are the mirror demon, the antique shopowner, diana dors as the chav house wife , donald pleasence as the ww2 veteran and the ecentric medium , i will give this film top marks

Svetlana K (br) wrote: The mysterious, womanizing Paganini - played by violin virtuoso David Garrett - makes his debut. His lacking of acting skills is easily overlooked by his magnification playing and involvement in the musical score. If you are aware before watching that Garett is NOT an actor, then you can get beyond his bag acting and simply enjoy the music and setting.
