Daniel S (us) wrote: Joe Pesci is his delicious, annoying self in this ok comedy.

Dave J (gb) wrote: Friday, March 30, 2012 (2009) Merantau (In Indonesian with English subtitles) ACTION Iko Uwais stars as Yuda, a 'Silat' martial artist who has intentions to move to a bigger city to open his own martial art school teaching 'silat'. Upon chasing a kid through the alley ways to retrieve his wallet, he then meets his older sister working as some sort of escort and of course gets his ass kicked by a few thugs, but realized he was beaten was because he was holding back and decides that wasn't going to be case the next time he were to confront them again! He confronts the main baddie and after he saves her, he gets his face cut up during a confrontaion and vows revenge on him for wrecking his face. The girl then gets kidnapped again but not for pimping her out, but for illegal human smuggling this time forcing Yuda to go and save her again! All it is, is a much lower budget version of Tony Jaa's "Ong-Bak" movie since the action is more realistic and credible because wires are hardly used unlike this movie and in addition, they're also more stunts along with the fighting. This is more of an introduction to introduce 'silat' martial arts to the world than looking at it as a better film than it's predecessor which is Ong-Bak. And perhaps with more action fight rehearsing and with more money, this film could've been decent but it's just a pass at best! 2.5 out of 4

John P (us) wrote: Although the acting wasn't great this had enough hilarious moments to carry this quite smoothly until the end. Should have been a lot shorter.

Ric D (nl) wrote: If anyone questions Kiefer as the number 1 actor in hollywood, watch this movie.

Brendon M (it) wrote: Not a bad little movie. Its got some charm.

Kaelin O (br) wrote: Good coming-of-age movie with Danny DeVito as a sympathetic single dad. I liked this one.

Mr P (ca) wrote: Not as strong as the original but still lots of fun. Some great makeup and killer baby effects here. Something about killer babies that really hits a nerve with me.

Petros T (mx) wrote: I found "When Nature Calls" to be overall funnier than the first film but less compelling from a story standpoint. The laugh-out-loud moments were many albeit definitely far from tasteful - but I don't think anyone was expecting something different anyway. In any case, the biggest advantage remains Jim Carrey's exuberant performance - it's a one-man show but that man knows how to make it a hell of a show.

Leslie H (jp) wrote: The battle of freewill vs determinism plays out in this extremely original and highly entertaining thought-provoker.... told with the non-linear spirit of Rashomon, The Killing, Pulp Fiction and Run Lola Run.Tione Johnson steals the show in her title role.

Manny J (ru) wrote: Very quriky and wierdly executed movie. I enjoyed watching the movie even though the entire time watching I knew this would end badly. Radcliffe seams o have a penchant for bad endings. I hate an unreasonably sappy hollywood ending when it's not logical
