Caitlin L (nl) wrote: A pretty good dance movie. Loved the ending.

Ethan A (de) wrote: This powerful account of the last 24 hours of Oscar Grant, a black man needlessly gunned down by the police at the titular train station, is an incredible film. Featuring an outstanding performance from Michael B. Jordan; the directorial debut of acclaimed director Ryan Coogler (Creed, Black Panther) is a high achievement.

Supes S (es) wrote: Spielberg and Abrams teamed up to make a stellar movie with a group of amazing young actors. The film is well-directed, creative writing, and overall a blast to watch.

Thomas P (ru) wrote: Story line is weak. It's one of those if this is based on a true story it could've & should've stayed off film. I'd like it better as a book. Ice Cube was the selling point & it's more of a cameo than anything. No wonder why no one raved about this movie when I was younger.

Geoffrey M (nl) wrote: My favorite kaiju besides Godzilla and Otachi from Pacific Rim!

David J (br) wrote: They don't make movies like this anymore. A movie where the impossible is made possible and you don't have to think about it. Now if I could find it on DVD, I would be set.

Geraint O (br) wrote: Hardly John Mills' greates work- another nautical effort he's not Shorty Blake anymore. He's a Captain this time, indeed interestingly (unlike Ice Cold) he's not the alcoholic who turns good, although there is a character of that sort in this one.Basically a mediocre routine wartime adventure. The last line though has to be amongst the corniest in cinema history. Hardly "I love you Shane" or "Frankly my Dear I don't give a damn"- this had "Just like running a ruddy bus service"- that on it's own lost it half a star!

Pankaj P (de) wrote: A charming movie. So much fun.

Jeff N (ca) wrote: There is clearly a market for these kinds of movies, but I don't fall into that category. Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor can do some pretty creative things to get some insane shots, but their movies are just too mindless for me. I need more story. More depth. Not just stuff blowing up, gratuitous violence and idiotic sex scenes. The biggest positive to this movie is its very effective use of music for its scenes. Jefferson Starship's "Miracles" as Statham is falling to his "death" was probably the most interesting moment in the film. Judging by IMDB, much of the industry has figured out not to give these guys much more work, though. After the idiotic "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" and the box office disaster, "Jonah Hex," I guess studios realized people actually like stories. I hope Lexi Alexander takes a cue from them.
