Kevin G (de) wrote: A strange, creepy and well-filmed movie. I didn't know what to expect before I watched this but there was definitely a cool style to it. It did seem to drag a bit and probably could have been shorter but in all a neat little film.

Alex B (kr) wrote: A very bourgeois Christmas! For example, I don't think I'd ever before seen such an accurate depiction, subtle, pervasive, and oppressive, of their consumption of commodities. "It's not Noah's ark! It's the Barbie Party Cruiser."

Kenneth Y (fr) wrote: Is it really that bad? I don't think so. It's a normal, typical HK styled sex movie, with certain cult factors, and some weird ideas... and so on... and the story line is not very attractive, but still makes sense to a certain extent. At least, it tries to apply all kinds of "sex stuffs" of AVs and HK sex movies into the film.P.S. If you do not intend to watch Lui, it is really acceptable. =P

Fernando C (de) wrote: One of the greatest achievements in Latin cinema, that's it. In perhaps the greatest decade for art cinema, "Memories of Underdevelopment" was one of Latin America's strongest statements, and it still is. It's bleak, oppresive, acid, unnerving. Its characters are well portrayed, helped by a great script and the restless camera. It does feel too slow, but don't let that bore you too soon: you'll miss out insightful comments on Cuban culture and the human condition in general, since this is quite a powerful and layered work.

Brett B (nl) wrote: Peter Lorre is terrific, as is the moody production design. The story is pretty ridiculous stuff, though, and the eventual climax doesn't have much of an impact.

Bryan K (es) wrote: I remember watching this animated short as a kid numerous times, but I've never seen the actual "film"/tour feature.

Alex A (us) wrote: "Jaws" is a classic story of man vs. beast, nearly perfect in every way.
