Kat and Sam's fears and insecurities brought about such a relateable romance. Their argument was so raw and about the things that were true for them as only they who see each other so well would know and criticize. That is what made me really fall for the movie and want to watch it again as I missed a bit of the beginning the first time. Really great movie and what a twist on the ending! Loved the dance scene. They were so adorable together!

An old school cautionary tale that, by it's own admission, has inspiration in other films and events (think Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity, The Ring, etc and the real life Indian MMS scandal). Nonetheless, it delivers some great scares, good visuals, and a story that does carry it for the full 1.5 hours. Worth seeing, would like to see more foreign horror like this one!

It is obvious that a large part of it was shot in India, giving this interpretation of the Babylonian Empire and King Xerxes a more eastern style, though I am no expert in ancient cultures to verify if this historically accurate enough. As for the story, there were certainly artistic liberties taken. The one which should be bother most biblical scholar is how the relationship of Esther and Xerxes is made to look like a Harlequin-like romance novel. Again I think I will just appreciate it for being able help me imagine the historically plausible setting might have been like.

(au) wrote: One of those typical Statham films that is still interesting to watch. A guy who wants to live in peacefully with his daughter though his past suddenly haunts him. Not bad actually. Statham as one of my favorite action heroes of today, really shines as well as his action moves are still fascinating to watch. A very well made action drama and still a good flick to watch and recommended to all fathers actually. 3.5 out of 5.
(ca) wrote: Surprisingly watchable "found footage" horror film..though not entirely of the ff subgenre. Its a slow burner with decent chills and atmospheres.
