Adults will not enjoy, hence the 4% rating, but kids will love and enjoy the humor and everybody getting slapped silly. I enjoyed it, but the ending was dumb and did not make any sense at all. Acting is not really great either, but the movie is a nice iffy kids flick.
Skylar E (jp) wrote: This movie has not aged very well at all, but the John Landis and Joe Dante segments are hands-down the best parts of the film. George Miller's segment was very average, while Stephen Spielberg's was waaaaaay to sentimental for its own good.

Frank O (fr) wrote: A wonderful film which savagely yet joyfully satirizes the imprisoning nature of Fordist production. As many will know, Chaplin's "Modern Times" was largely based on Clair's masterpiece, inspiring the famous remark "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". While Chaplin's film is fantastic, Clair's depiction of the industrial world as a monotonous dystopia from which escape is every bit as difficult as prison, is somewhat more skilful. The way in which the protagonists deal with the 'bigger cages & longer chains' of post-prison life makes for some of the sharpest & funniest cinema of the 20th century.
