Eric H (gb) wrote: Watching this movie was an adventure for me. It's been a while since I just sat down and enjoyed a movie, so I probably neglected some, if not a lot, of the bad things about this film. Anyway, this movie took me on a journey I will not soon forget, one which I am eager to re-visit any time soon. You and your children will love this great movie for all ages, my Kids and I had so much fun with this movie, was one of the best of Disney, is lively and fun, has a fantastic adventure and incredible music, this movie deserved more recognition and fans, This movie is worth it, especially for children, and not to mention the characters that make the story even more interesting, the protagonist has a story with a sad past and becomes a rebel in adolescence, but still has a good heart and a sense of adventure, a perfect protagonist for a excellent movie,If you haven't watched it go now watch, because he is very worthwhile!

Simon D (mx) wrote: A remake which sticks quite closely to the original story so if you've not seen it and prefer a more accessible and clear version then this'll do. I was hoping this would be one of Herzogs disturbing films but it's about as scary as the original (not very), except for the opening scenes which are surely enough to make some people turn off immediately. It's just a shame this was basically false advertising and totally irrellevant to the film.
Mara B (us) wrote: Night of the Demon is stylish from the outset. It opens with the eerie image of headlights through the trees on a mysterious night. Tourneur uses shadow and light to great effect, and the black and white film is crisp and lovely. The close-up of the demon is a bit corny in light of today's CGI, but suitable for the time. The entrance of the demon is actually a great special effect. The acting and plot are fine. This really is a thinking man's horror movie, filled with the psychological beliefs of the day. Good little movie.

They try going to military school in Pakistan and get kick out, they try making their own bombs which backfires on you and at the end of the film they only ones who get killed at not them.....or do they succeed at the end.
James H (es) wrote: This drama is easy to get invested into because of it's great screenplay and A list cast. Bradley Cooper hits a career best and you always know you're going to get something good out of Robert De Niro. Jennifer Lawrence was 50/50 for me. On one side, when she was calm and even tempered, I thought her performance was subtlety brilliant. However, when she was shouting and screaming, I thought it was over the top (which she does often do) and it seemed like she was begging for the Oscar. Which payed off because she won. That is my only problem though because other than that, it is well directed, it has hilarious humour and some important messages.
