Johnny T (fr) wrote: The movie isn't a disaster, and if you responded to the first one, its memory may carry you over the roughness, the excessive, ugly violence and lack of conviction here. Hill and his stars are merely going through the motions, but the motions are immensely familiar. If you've been there before, then you've been there. If it does nothing else, Another 48 HRS reminds us that Murphy is a big, genuine talent. Now it's time for him to make a good movie. Another 48 HRS. doesn't offer a whole lot beyond Eddie Murphy, Nick Nolte, and Walter Hill's action-scene flair, but are you telling me the first 48 HRS. did? Bottom line: Eddie-Nick enthusiasts and Paramount accountants won't cry 96 tears. VERDICT: "In The Zone" - [Mixed Reaction] These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says buy an ex-rental or a cheap price of the DVD to own. If you consider cinema, ask for people's opinion on the film. (Films that are rated 2.5 or 3 stars)
Frances H (es) wrote: This flick reminds of nothing so much as the early 60s and 1950s movies we used to watch on Chiller Theater hosted by Bill Cardille (alias Chilly Billy, who was the reporter in the original Night of the Living Dead, filmed in Pittsburgh) on Saturday afternoons back in Pittsburgh, Pa. when I was a kid back in the early 60s. When I compare this to The Hidden made two years later, one can see just how bad Lifeforce is. What a waste of Frank Finlay and Patrick Stewart's talents.

Violet stoneham lives alone with her cat in the apartment, when she comes across one of her former students at school. The student's fiance a struggling writer, persuades his fiance to ask the teacher to let him work in her apartment. The teacher allows them and they all become associated. Stoneham being alone, loves the company and becomes attached to the young couple. But soon the couple gets married and the teacher is left alone to herself once again.
