Shelley S (ca) wrote: Friended To Death is a witty film with fun, over the top characters whose antics are both hysterical and heartbreaking .The film illustrates just how far a social media addict might go to find out who his real friends are. After getting fired and losing his best friend, Michael Harris, a detestable parking enforcement officer played by Ryan Hansen, decides to find out if anyone would care if he died. So, being the social media addict he is, Michael fakes his own death on Facebook to his see who will care enough to come to his funeral. As Michael's hoax spirals out of control, he begins to realize thatconnections made online can never compare to the true relationships found in real life.In this funny, zany film, while we laugh at the wild antics, we'll see a little bit of ourselves. The actors did an amazing job of bringing life to this "sign of our times" story.Congratulations to the filmmakers for giving voice to the profound role social media plays in our lives! I highly recommend this totally enjoyable film!

Jillian L (it) wrote: This French movie has a fascinating concept and it's one of Marion Cotillard's earlier roles. Those are the two big things it's got going for it along with some cool stuff happening visually, and a really natural chemistry between the two leads, Cotillard and Guillaume Canet. (Who ended up dating a few years later and are still together I might add). But for some reason, this movie just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. It mostly was because of the rules of their game. They just kept doing these awful things to each other and then they started dragging other people into it unwillingly. It's like the two characters were meant for each other because they weren't good people. I don't know. I would be interested to hear other people's thoughts on this one.

Don S (nl) wrote: A sci-fi horror blend that tries too hard to ascend past its B-movie plot and effects and fails at the task. The lovely Barbara Crampton must carry the load for the lackluster performances of the other cast. The story line is too silly to be taken seriously and the effects are so poorly shot they cause little desired feeling. A nice try to create a good movie from a Lovecraft story, but not good enough.

Judge L (us) wrote: Don't watch it for the acting or storyline...watch it for the car action! If you remember the TV series 'Fall Guy' you will recognize the final scene in this movie.

DC F (us) wrote: Not a complete waste of time as it did have it's entertaining moments with above average performances by actors given a pretty silly script. Though some makeup was very simple and obviously unprofessionally done, the film color really worked and the special effects weren't terrible for such a cheaply made good time.

Keaton E (jp) wrote: Fueled by a spectacular performance from Tom Hanks and Jonathan Demme's confident direction, Philadelphia delivers emotional resonance even if it exceeds its grasp.
