Wesley W (us) wrote: A really generic and predictably told movie with a plot that has little effect and has a hammy message. This Adam Sandler movie is better than most of his stupid schlock nowadays, but this is still in my opinion, another unfunny attempt at comedy from him. Throughout this throwaway Disney cash grab, I couldn't find any good reason to care about any of the characters or about anything happening on screen and those faults have to do with the writing and directing. Everything here is told by cliches and you can tell exactly what is gonna happen and Adam Shankman doesn't direct this film with any real passion or thought. I did not laugh once and every attempt at humor ended on a flat note. The acting from the cast is forgettable and bland. Adam Sandler is his usual boring self, Teresa Palmer was terrible and every time she appeared on screen I wanted her to leave right away and when she would keep coming back like all those god awful spoof movies, I got really aggravated. Guy Pearce who I love in Memento, is underused here and gives a bland performance, but it might not be his fault because of the bland writing and directing. The only positives with this in my book, are that I thought Jonathan Pryce tried at the beginning of the film, the guinea pig Bugsy was cute, and thats it. If you want to watch a much better live-action Disney movie, watch Mary Poppins and don't waste your time with this.

Mister O (fr) wrote: The film plays out like a pilot to a television series, and luckily is carried by Paul Hogan's charisma, because the film almost literally has no plot. Fun enough to watch every 10 years or so if you're feeling like some '80s nostalgia.
Kris W (gb) wrote: Not the best of both Gene and Judy's work. Even not the best, 4.5 stars are still recommended. There will never be another Gene or Judy again. I love You wonderful you most.
Kyle C (nl) wrote: Not bad, a little predictable, but hey, that's Hollywood. Why make an original, intriguing story when you can make a movie that everyone should see coming about half way through? If it wasn't for some of the strong performances this could have been much worse but it is saved by the acting, worth a watch but don't expect a gripping tale that keeps you on the edge of your seat

Bob G (au) wrote: Good to watch with a bunch of friends. Otherwise, a pathetic rip of much better films like 'Carnival of Souls', 'Nightmare on Elm Street', even 'Rocky Horror'... There's quite a bit of T&A (well, more T, less A), but it's not enough.
