Chynna A (mx) wrote: This movie was such a sad, sad disappointment. I LOVE the novel and I expected nothing less of the film, seeing as how the Fight Club adaptation was spot on, but this was choppy and boring. The plot doesn't make sense unless you have read the novel and the film seemed rushed. This story has so much potential to be a cult phenomenon, but the director seriously screwed it up. I could keep ranting on but I want to go cry in a corner after the crap I just watched.

Steve S (es) wrote: *** (out of four) The material itself isn't overly original, nor is it admirably profound, but it does hold certain truths and certain assumptions that make the film worthwhile. Calvin Marshall (Alex Frost) attend s a small college in Oregon. His passion is playing baseball, but he isn't the best player out there and is reluctantly cut from the team by the cranky coach (Steve Zahn). The team is made up of some talented ball players, but none of them have the passion that Calvin does for the game. Calvin concentrates on chasing after the star volleyball player on the girl's team. I like the way the film explores how being good at something is far different than being having passion for something. Calvin may not be good for baseball, but baseball is good for him.

Rubia (us) wrote: A enjoyable and sensual watching with visible fake blood, some exaggerated interpretation and all the kitsch a B movie type can offer. Different from what you would expect of any vampyre movie, in Vampyros Lesbos most scenes are in a sunny and paradisiac outside and the plot is insteresting, playing with "reality" and imagination. *Soledad Miranda was terrific beautiful.

Christopher K (us) wrote: Too long; but saved by Jimmy Stewart and Edward G. Robinson; some incredibly moving scenes of the violence and brutality of the American cavalry against the Indians.

Jennifer P (mx) wrote: I worked for Interplay Entertainment and everything in this movie is absolutely true to life. I laughed harder then I had laughed in a long time.

Kevin M W (ag) wrote: Blow by blow recital of the facts of the famous WWII Pacific sea battle delivered by faces you know and love makes for a cozy history lesson. The nutty love story thrown in for the ladies is not only distracting but irrelevant. All in all not a terrible waste.

Ben S (nl) wrote: Certainly not my favorite Ken Loach film; it doesn't help that the DVD has no subtitle track, and those Glasgow accents are mighty thick.
