Luke B (fr) wrote: A film that looks and feels like a TV movie. It has a message, but it's a message that is painfully obvious to anybody with the slightest bit of intelligence. It's also handled in a very patronizing and contrived way. The performances range from very bad - Brian Cox (i.e. Excellent). The film does make mention of more interesting political and social elements, but goes for the easiest story to tell. Just in case you were wondering, most Muslims are not terrorists, but some extremists are.

This shows though that Bill Forsyth can do amazing atmosphere....but I mean of course he can!...hes one of the best directors of all time.

Bill B (es) wrote: This is a really fun film, and while it's not all that great of a movie, it's a helluva lot of action and excitement, changing locales virtually every 10 minutes or so and featuring some great martial arts bits.Donald Pleasence chews a ton of scenery, what's not to love?Rental, if you can find it.
Dave F (ru) wrote: I love it, but there's no getting around the fact that it's horror-sleaze at it's most depressing. Derivative and mean-spirited, it's a movie that features scenes within an in-home jail cell - brimming with against-their-will eye donors who moan in agony(!) Whoa. Character actor Pataki ('Dracula's Dog') directs this stomach-churner that should really only be watched by genre super-fans.

Dustin H (br) wrote: A timeless story by Joyce that the film does justice if in a somewhat dour form at times. The final ten minutes are the best in the film.
