(jp) wrote: For a foreign flick from South Korea this movie really delivered on the suspense and action. Despite it's flaws and a few over the top moments it was definitely a very entertaining movie. I recommend it if you enjoyed movies like Outbreak or Contagion.
(kr) wrote: Darren Lynn Bousman from the director of Saw II, Saw III, Saw IV and Repo: The Genetic Opera brings you religion in a horror sense. What is a horror film suppose to do? It suppose to scare people, not find it annoying. Bousman writes/directs this film with no sense of scares or style by trying too hard to scare the audience.

(au) wrote: (48%)A tough cat and mouse western adventure with a stripped down plot and a strong cast. The opening twenty or so minutes are the strongest part, with Brosnan battling the freezing elements of a mountain pass while Neeson tracks him like a wild animal. The quite savage violence adds bite, but really this doesn't have very much up its sleeve. And once the ideas start to run dry and Anjelica Huston turns up (or does she?) to simply add a few extra minutes to the run time making this more frustrating overall than anything else. There is a good short story tucked away in this, but as it is there just isn't enough meat on the bones here to make this something significantly better than average.

(ca) wrote: Sad little film about the circumstances leading up to the last female execution in England, Ruth Ellis in 1955. She meets a guy who looks rich and exciting but is financially strapped most of the time due to his boozing and womanizing, and as if that wasn't enough, he also beats the poor girl. Miranda Richardson and Rupert Everett very closely resemble Ellis and David Blakely, and the acting is first rate. Only being somewhat overlength and a bit talky hurts the film, but it's definitely worth watching.
(mx) wrote: Very slow moving, a sort of dark, seediness to it, watchable, but forgettable.

(nl) wrote: Fabulous movie, many younger people seem to give average or bad reviews because they do not know the history / authors and so do not "get" the jokes. I've watch this movie several times and consider it in the top 5 Woody Allen movies
