Larry C (it) wrote: Juno Temple is good. The movie is too dark and too long.

James H (mx) wrote: It's an ok feel good film with likeable performances from the whole cast but it isn't funny enough to be a comedy in my opinion. The final act gets incredibly ridiculous when there's a fight at the party and many characters do stupid things. It's like the screen writers forgot at this point that they were not all cartoons. However it is very relatable although in a extreme way.

Kieran L (jp) wrote: Scotty doesn't know. Superior utilisation of cameos and interesting stylistic choices sets this apart from your average post American Pie teen comedy.

Lucas Y (kr) wrote: Nothing special, but definitely one of the more underrated comedies of the 90's. Damon Wayans was perfectly cast & provides plenty of laughs. Daniel Stern in my opinion is one of the most overlooked, underrated comedic actors out there. He's made me laugh in every film I've seen him in. He, Wayans & Aykroyd have good chemistry & play off of each other well. Story altogether is pretty uneven & it would've been nice to have more real players in the game scenes, but in the end this makes me laugh & that's not always easy.

Gabriel L (it) wrote: This movie is ok. What made it interesting was listening to my friends who have been reading tons of books about mountain climbing tell me all the nuances of what was going on. Other than that it was pretty disposable action, I think I would have rather wanted to read the book.

Maymay A (kr) wrote: A heartfelt and feel-good animated offering.

Ben R (fr) wrote: A very odd, pleasant little movie that I wasn't ever really invested in. A lot of the humor was pretty...not offensive or inappropriate, but just weird. The whole 'boners' thing was weird, and that 'orgasm' scene was just very strange. I'm a sentimental guy, but movies this sentimental and cheesy make the emotion in it seem false instead of genuine. I get the feeling that this movie could be remade pretty well if Wes Anderson wrote the script - he's good at being kooky and odd while injecting genuine feeling into his movies. That being said, there were a few aspects that were a little touching. Rose's death scene got to me a little, even though you could see it coming a mile away and there wasn't especially standout about it. Also, I liked the bond between Ben and his grandson - I was actually a little sad when Ben told him that he was going away. Most of this was a little too cheesy for me, but there were a few nice moments and a general amiability that made it somewhat enjoyable.

Aaron G (nl) wrote: Probably hasn't looked this good since its original release in theaters. Tons of sight and sound gags, as was Tashlin's wont. I can't do any better than critic Dave Kehr, so here's a sample of his capsule: "The glory of Tashlin's films is that they are finally inseparable from the objects of their satire, being every bit as loud, crass, and entertaining as the culture they lampoon. This is the best of the Martin and Lewis films and, if you listen to Jean-Luc Godard, a masterpiece. He may be right."

Joseph S (es) wrote: Herzog's Bad Lieutenant is indeed different in tone from Ferrara's Bad Lieutenant, but as it turns out it's a pale shadow of "Miami Blues", a replica in tone, but also a much more unpredictable, brutal, and tender film, that covers most of the same themes and territory. More later...

Rotimer J (ru) wrote: Reasonably entertaining for the most part, especially Ron Perlman's Scottish-ish viking beserker, but it all descends into an uninspiring, derivative third act.
