Greg R (ag) wrote: This movie does not just satirize horror movies, it takes horror stories to the bone marrow. All this stuff happens at this sort of government/nasa-ish company, all run by man The Cabin in the Woods is not just a good horror film, but it mixes horror, comedy and surreal-ness together to make it a wickedly messed up and awesome flick.
James B (it) wrote: I was skeptical to say the least about this 'Quirky British Rom-com'... but I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. Some of the direction is impressive, but often unnecessary and some of the early parts of the story felt rushed and just an attempt to fill out 'five girlfriends' worth of story, when perhaps three would have sufficed. However!... It was a really nice take on the usually soppy genre of rom-com with 'love' effectively losing out. Perhaps a more realistic take on modern relationships and the acting is extremely strong throughout. It never claims to be a world beater, but it is most definitely worth a watch, and the ending is predictable but enjoyable.
Al M (mx) wrote: Essentially a new Road Warrior, Tooth and Nail depicts a world that has torn itself apart after Earth's oil ran out. Now, a group of survivors led by a character with the rather original name of "The Professor" (unfortunately, Gilligan is no where to be found) attempt to maintain a spark of civilization. However, a recently arrived new survivor leads a blood-thirsty pack of cannibals to their hospital stronghold. Featuring Michael Madsen, the guy from Boy Meets World, and some other somewhat recognizable people, Tooth and Nail is moderately entertaining for about the first 45 minutes to an hour, but it gets old long before it's over.
Leonard D (de) wrote: Nicholas Cage doesn't do his typical over the top freak outs, but there is some fun to this Indiana jones type of film. He's a decent protagonist, but the thing that bothers me about this movie is the humor, which brings me to the character Riley! Sure, he's supposed to be appealing to kids, but his humor felt so forced, it made Rob Shneider look like Chris Tucker! So, at the end of the day, I enjoyed this film for what it is, even though it has some flaws.

rainbodragon (au) wrote: I did like this movie, but I don't really see how it's a comedy. The characters are interesting, but there is a lot of gratuitous nudity, even for a movie about the porn industry. Over all, I would say that if you go into it without expecting a lot of laughs, the story is worth seeing.
