In a small spanish town, a group of old ladies decide to celebrate Christmas Eve with a "Sit a poor man at your table" dinner: each wealthy household of the town will have a homeless person dining with them that night. The celebrations also include a parade, and in it we find Plácido, the humble owner of a three-wheeler, whose family is forced to live in a public lavatory because of the lack of money to pay the rent, and who has to pay the second bill of his vehicle before midnight or else he will lose it.

You think women can be bitchy about each other then you need to see this! These trans are mad! Well, some of them. Definitely an enjoyable docu-film. These bitches are all woman... It's just some have something extra...

Luke R (it) wrote: Josh Hartnett and Samuel L. Jackson are the key players here, in "Resurrecting the Champ". The concept of this movie is a very good one (uncovering the story of a past boxing legend) - and whilst I don't believe the concept was executed perfectly - it was a pretty easy 110 minutes of viewing. There are some "bit players" to be found here also - namely Teri Hatcher and Alan Alda - but neither are really integral to the movie as a whole.Hartnett holds his own in the lead role, whilst Jackson is good but not great in his role (albeit a difficult one for him to play). Summing up, this movie is worth a viewing if there's not too much else out there.

Tabitha M (us) wrote: This was really interesting... slow, but interesting. Basically these two cousins fancy this couple, so they form a pact to help each other have an affair with him/her. Throughout the movie there are long discussions about different opinions on human nature vs committed relationship, etc. In the end the director allows you to make up your own mind about the events - and based on your decision of what you think happened, it kind of tells you something about yourself, eg - does your conclusion mean you agree with the villian or the victims? Are you a cynic or a optimistic romantic?Really interesting.

Jonathan P (jp) wrote: Tim is a odd story of a mentally challenged young man (played wonderfully by Mel Gibson) and an older woman who fall in love amid personal and family crisis. Mel Gibson shines in one of his earliest roles as the love seeking mentally challenged young man. It is easy to say shades of what was to come as Gibson gives a heartfelt believable performance in his quest to find love with the motherly Piper Laurie. Tim isn't a great film but the opportunity to see a young Aussie actor who would soon become a star give a real performance for love of the craft and not money is more than enough reason to seek out Tim.
