(fr) wrote: 45% Completely average horror flick, which I hate. Don't be normal, change up the formula a little. The director said it wasn't a horror movie but a dark fairy tale...bullshit.
(fr) wrote: this movie teaches courage, faith, responsibility taken by security personnels to make sure the high official persons are save at all cost!!!
(au) wrote: The whole movie is insane and ludicrous but after I acknowledged that, it became a lot of fun. And it doesn't hurt that I liked most of the music.

(it) wrote: Feels a bit like Woody Allen tried to fit too much into the story. Strong dialogue, of course (it's Woody Allen, after all), but the two main plots didn't fit well together and the connections felt too forced.

(gb) wrote: Total war propaganda but very well done. Coopers character went through many changes and he handled them all so well. Many stories from this period that attempted such a broad scope became just fragmented. This one, however, kept the interest up throughout.
(it) wrote: A posh German hotel is the locale for a penniless aristocrat (John Barrymore), a depressed ballerina (Greta Garbo, who delivers her infamous "I want to be alone" spiel), an opportunistic stenographer (Joan Crawford), a terminally ill clerk (Lionel Barrymore), and a struggling tycoon (Wallace Beery). Their troubles and dramas intersect in a variety of ways during the running time of this 1932 Oscar Winner for Best Picture. While Grand Hotel takes its sweet time in gaining narrative momentum, its all-star cast eventually delivers the goods. Many will find this film a bit dated and stuffy, but it's a good choice for those interested in old fashioned Hollywood.
(de) wrote: Silly, juvenile, sophomoric...and absolutely brilliant. How could anyone have expected more from a full-length version of a MacGruber skit?? It is a silly SNL skit, for God's sake! Gratuitous in language, violence and 80's references, the only reason not to like this movie is if you thought they shouldn't have made a movie version of it. Deal with it. They made it. And if you were a fan of the skit, I cannot imagine why you wouldn't have loved the film.

(gb) wrote: really good thriller.. Mellisa George acted really well. The whoel setup was very well presented and it was basically an edge of the seat thriller. Much better than expected. I have not seen any movie of this director before but am imprssed with her work in this one.
