Grant H (kr) wrote: Pretty good movie. The plot feels familiar, most likely because it feels a lot like it's based on the life of its star (Sheen), it's clever, it's pretty funny, it's whack, and it has great performances from its cast, especially Sheen, Schwartzman and Murray.
Tom H (ru) wrote: a cool film about a physically disabled group thinking in a positive way, until a new member enters the gang unwillingly on his part. suddenly everyone comes to terms of how miserable they really are, which is not necessarily a bad moment in their lives. they rather seem to have a new purpose in life in a most enjoyable destructive way. the characters are just funny as hell, and i think the film easily could have gone 1 hour longer with great results. this was oscar worthy in my opinion, but it was also too short. if there would be better time exploring the characters that would be great, because there really was something special about these people in wheelchairs that makes you think of what you usually take for granted. the relationship between Geirr and his wife was really powerful and seemed so real and conflicting. everyone should see this film as a sake of not missing out on something great. also the black humor in this was over the top and hilarious.

Shane Z (kr) wrote: zero starsI watched this movie just for shits & giggles & what went threw director Rob Reiner's mind on this movie & even seeing how bad siskel & Ebert hate this movie & considered it the worst movie of 1994 & Roger Ebert concluded in his review of north saying " I hated this movie. hated, hated, hated, hated, hated this movie. hated it. hated every simpering stupid vacant audience-insulting moment of it" out of everybody who hates this movie Roger Ebert must be the most person to hate it & north is considered one of the worst films of all time.North is based on the novel of the same name, a boy named North(played by Elijah Wood) becomes a free agent & travel around the world in search of new & perfect parents. the movie has a lot of big stars like Jon Lovitz, Jason Alexander, Alan Arkin, Dan Aykroyd, Kathy Bates, Faith Ford, Graham Greene, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Reba McEntire, John Ritter, Abe Vigoda & Bruce Willis. watching North made me feel so angered I just could not stand watching the whole entire thing, Elijah Wood is a good actor if u don't believe me he played frodo in the lord of the rings trilogy, him & Bruce Willis have very depressing performances, I could not stand Willis playing so many roles in this movie you could just tell by looking at him that he just doesn't enjoy doing this movie he & wood feel like they're barred in crap & doing this movie was a waste of they're time & it was a waste of time. north is one of the worst films I have ever seen but if u want to know the person who hates north the most check out Roger Ebert's review.

peter h (br) wrote: A brilliant gem of atomic age Sic-Fi but really did it need to be a punching bag for the MST3K MOVIE? Short answer no but long answer why not considering the fact former MST3K cast members have started up Rifftracks which spoofs everything from STAR WARS (1977) to tommy wiseau's comedicly bad drama THE ROOM (2003). However this film despite it being a puching bag for MST3K its a bloody good sci-fi film. The story of this film involes atomic sicentist Dr Mecham being given batties which are unlike anything he has ever seen before due to them being bead shaped. The next day a catoulge arrives which DR Mecham orders from , soon with all the parts assembles a device which commincates with an unkowen figure called Echaem who invites the Dr to join him . Amazed by the technology the Dr agress to go but upon his arival at Echaems estate things are not as they seem to be. The reslut , the Dr and his old flame Dr Adams are wisked away to the dying planet of Metaluna (which the set design makes the palnet look like a cross between a plup sicence fiction illisration and any image out of a Dr Seuse story book). 7/10 clever sci-fi worthy for a re-look by fans of MST3K
