(it) wrote: Too shallow to be meaningful but it was worth watching. Some pretty (if not a little too typical) cinematography. I wanted more dialogue and debate personally.
(au) wrote: Such a cute Disney movie. Love the music. Great chemistry.
(nl) wrote: Just the sort of thing you'd expect from Peter Greenaway. An art film in every sense of the word! This one is particularly interesting for presenting painting as theatre and film as theatre.
(it) wrote: Talk to Her [Spain, 2002] Borders between realism and surrealism which are balanced well enough for something so classic. 8.5/10

(ca) wrote: Pretty good storyline. Slow at times.
(es) wrote: Let's face it, it's basically porn. But you've gotta love the simplicity of it all, it pretty much does exactly what it says on the tin. Lots of skin, lots of cheese, sexy uniforms and simply inspired use of exercise equipment. Simple, sexy, hilarious.
(jp) wrote: Jamie (Melissa George) is an average housewife who finds herself kidnapped by a mysterious masked man Alek (Oded Fehr) and imprisoned in a warehouse. Jamie is roughed up and her captor tells her that her husband is not who she thinks he is, but an assassin who is on the run from a crime syndicate after having stolen mob money totaling about 40 million dollars. The kidnappers have also taken her six year old son Michael (Connor Christopher Levins), who is diabetic and needs constant attention. Jamie soon agrees to work with the kidnappers to uncover her husband's secrets in order to save her son. The inclusion of a few genuinely exciting sequences as Jamie races against time to successfully complete a money transfer cements the movie's place as a slow-going yet satisfying endeavor (although magnetic cassette tapes seem really low-tech for international espionage, especially considering Jamie's brilliant work with the computer.)
(ru) wrote: Nothing new or original in this movie. But it has a decent amount of action the pass the time. Besides you get to stare at Chris Pine for 1 hr & 45 mins. Not a bad thing at all.
(au) wrote: Was not as good as I thought it would be
(it) wrote: I loved it.While it's not perfect and a bit glib and maudling in parts, the overall product was excellent and contained some authentic Australian flavour.
(ca) wrote: Cursory, almost cartoonish, treatment of the lethal fifties cocktail of McCarthyism, populism, political corruption and Hollywood angst that forced Johnny Rocco to sell the Van Gogh. Once again, Elia Kazan gets a free pass. Too cute by half.
