I think the script has done that to satisfy me. And Steve Zahn is chillingly evil and creepy. - Except the labrador story, the screenwriter's attempt to add any emotional depth or complexity to the characters have completely failed. The emotional struggle between the killer couple feel unnatural and distanced. As this was the main driver towards the 'happy' ending, giving this whole nerve-racking experience a sloppy demise. Lastly, it isn't that hard to figure out the plot twist, is it? There are only that two couples and surely it's not the obvious one.

Luke B (ru) wrote: Some interesting CGI and twist on a haunted place (this time hospital) make this an easy and worthwhile watch. On the flipside of it's pluses are the negatives. The acting and characters is mostly poor, with characters being stupid and the actors overplaying the annoying qualities. There are some genuine jumps and scares, but also some unfortunate unintentional laughs.

This film sharply skewers the ridiculous social customs that were struggling to be maintained in post-war Italy as well as depicts the roles women were forced to play in society, all in a very smart and very funny manner.
