(ru) wrote: I really really wanted to like this movie , I know Shane Dawson was once made great You tube videos were he actually had a good message for teens but now? I mean if you watched this movie you will understand what I mean cheap jokes no carting what's so ever very cheesy even if it was not done before nothing but advertising done in this movie being his big brake you would think he would take it more serious

(nl) wrote: Clever but not always realistic, with a very good Ellen Page in the titular role. Michael Cera is likable, Jennifer Garner rather average and the trio of Jason Bateman, Allison Janney and J.K. Simmons very good. It's a bittersweet affair that feels a little one-sided sometimes but remains worthwhile.

(ag) wrote: Set in a gorgeous landscape, in a gorgeous village, and rich in clever dialogue and thoughtful ideas/themes, this film features a (frantically idle, sociable yet solitary) modern/bourgeois individual voyeuristically/vicariously seeking (life-and-)death and work (and sex and ceremony) in a traditional/peasant world, but instead by the end beginning to learn if not to fully/directly communicate with them then at least to work modestly for them (rather than exploiting them).

(ru) wrote: From ancient Japan's most enduring tale, a telling of the tale that mixed history with fantasy. Critics have called this a "dull fantasy adventure." Like Van Helsing before it, I disagree BIG TIME. The story of The 47 Ronin is a legend of honour not known by many; I only found out about from an episode of BELIEVE IT OR NOT. The story of the event, if it had been done with complete historic accuracy, would have indeed made for a dull story. The inclusion of fantasy and Japanese Mythology into the story made it captivating and stirring. I really enjoyed this movie.

(au) wrote: Harmless fluff, and good fun, if you remember it's from the sixties and don't try to judge it by today's social standards. Micheline Presle is particularly wonderful as Sandra Dee's French mother.

(ag) wrote: If a comedy movie objective is supposed to make you laugh.. The Brothers Grimsby hit the spot. I laugh a lot in more than one occasion and I think this was a movie with a nice going pace, never boring. I simply can not give more stars because the humor sometimes is just gross, plain and simple. From the elephant to the fellatio .... its just unecessary. Sacha can make us laugh, he is very talented, wihout this sort of things. But I liked the movie.
