Andrew L (it) wrote: This is a really good movie. The story is one that had to be hard to execute. There are two different events going on but in the end, both have the same outcome. Depending on the viewer's interpretation of the film, one might say some good characters become bad and some bad become good. But without analyzing specific meanings throughout the movie, there is still a great amount of dialogue and story to keep you interested. The movie does move slowly about halfway in but once it gets over that hurdle, the rest of it is extremely well done. The acting is great as well. Luis Tosar and Gael Garcia Bernal give very good performances that makes it easy to show the progression that their respective characters go through. Definitely worth the rent.

Gabriel C (us) wrote: Nowhere near as bad as it could have been, but RV's thin plot and crude humor don't mix well with Robin Williams' comic persona.

Claudia D (ag) wrote: Funny, but in the kind of way that sometimes the comedy turns out to be stupid. Or maybe it's supposed to be like that? I'm not too sure, but I still enjoyed watching it. Believe it or not the story was actually quite clever at some points, a nice idea. It's like any other crime movie I guess, only this had that humor you don't normally get. From the cover and reading about it I had no idea it would be this much of a comedy, it took over from the action. There were only a few shots fired (If you don't count that last scene where there's too many to count), and yet the comedy stayed from the beginning until the end. Sure, most of the time the reason to laugh would be that it's stupid, others that they actually made a good joke. Well for starters I can say that Grard Depardieu annoyed me. I know he's been in some other good movies but I just don't like him as an actor. Harvey Keitel on the other hand I really liked. There were quite a few other well-known actors in this, I it was just average acting. Perhaps slightly below average for some. Overall a funny ride, but that doesn't make it a brilliant movie. They could have used the story for a more serious movie, but it couldn't have worked either. It's a comedy that's not half bad.

Thomas B (kr) wrote: Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter both give 100% and the Coens back them up with a great screenplay, even if it falls short of their other work. Full review later.

Joseph T (au) wrote: excellent movie with great actors/actresses and wonderful writing. the quotes back and forth are funny...when nora's car is stolen, the refrigerator is broke, she goes to answer the door and says - please let it be the united way....

Elise P (de) wrote: This collection of hilarious and silly stories is a lot of fun. Touching on the sexual revolution it is much like satire with Allen's quick wit. The cast is great especially Gene Wilder. Overall this is a silly and over the top film which is a lot of fun to watch.

Senor C (it) wrote: A carploitation winner from Jack Hil! Brian Donlevy & Sid Haig drag the crazy 8 in a mayhem of speed & crushing metal. Isn't that why people watch auto racing anyways? For the crashes? Well w/ this insane style there is high octane impact galore. Hill gets the most out of the sport that it's a trill ride & w/ the combination of a great powerhouse cast (especially Haig that I always love) & a smoking soundtrax he may have created another cult movie in his catalogue that I've discovered. He damn well may be the king of the drive in feature. A little melodramatic in the end as he tries to drive tragedy home but it didn't leave that bad of a taste in my mouth. Even though you're a winner you can be a loser too
