Olivia L (es) wrote: This film starts with action and mistery that builds up into horror, and keeps your attention til the very end. I agree with the user who says the police officer is poorly written, but that's a single weak point. The story is not weird at all. I recommend this for those who liked "Let The Right One In" and/or "28 Days Later". I can assure you this film is much better than certain fancy artsy well-rated films. I think the end leaves space enough for a possibly good sequel.
Gavin P (fr) wrote: Definitely missing Kevin Conroy as Batman, but it does have NPH as the Flash! But otherwise, it's a pretty good origin story - pretty interesting setting it in the '50s! Superman doesn't have much do do and instead it focuses on Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern & the Flash, which is a refreshing take. The enemy is a bit simple and too reminiscent of 'Independence Day', and it's a bit short at 70min, but otherwise well done!
Violet H (ru) wrote: very very beautiful. slow-moving and not a lot of special effects; a good story and well-presented. I would like to see this movie again.

A couple of old salesmen bitter about the past, disillusioned about the future, project a desperate hope that everything in their lives will be okay if only they can land a meeting with the Big Kahuna. It takes their young naive coworker's genuine interest in humanity to illuminate how far they've fallen from focusing on what really matters in life.

Alex H (kr) wrote: This movie is, as the British say, completely mental. I knew Ken Russell got weird, but at least in Devils and Altered States and Lair of the White Worm the weirdness was in service of something besides trying my patience, oi veysmir
Natasha M (us) wrote: Hahaha!! The head of the good guys is called Sharad (William Farnum) and his crest is a giant Eggo! The whole things starts out with a phallic submarine entering a seaweed encrusted cave. The cast spend most of the movie running around in funky boots, underwear, capes and fish-like helmets. There are even robots wearing what look like giant boilers over their heads! The pacing of the story and the over the top action is good. There is an obvious anti-Nazi vs. Allies message going on...the badies have a Nazi salute and there are Star-of-David-like symbols in the decor of the goodies' fort.

Petros T (fr) wrote: Good direction, script, effects, scenery and acting (especially from Will Smith), nice twist at the end.
