Ben P (br) wrote: Ok, I wanted to like this movie; I really did...and I did like it, up until the ending. The ending made me want to punch the writer in the face. I understand that horror films aren't supposed to have happy endings, but you're also supposed to respect your audience and not build up their hopes just to kick them squarely in the balls and say FUCK YOU I GOT YOUR MONEY. Well guess what, asshole? I torrented your piece of shit film and you're not getting one cent from me. This is the worst horror film I've seen since Kidnapped.

David W (nl) wrote: Granted the acting wasn't the best, or the plot, or the action, or many of the effects...but I still enjoyed it. I liked how it was mostly about the historical nature of the real Dracula, Vlad the Impaler. Filming it on location in Romania and at the castle was a nice touch.

Jim S (br) wrote: Slow first half, crazy second half. I feel strangely unsatisfied after finishing ironic as that is.

Duncan K (gb) wrote: It broke my heart to see people as great as Kevin Costner and Paul Newman in such a stupid, pointless film.

Joe C (es) wrote: I've never been a fan on Ryan O'Neal, but I did enjoy his performance here. Tatum steals the show though.

Audry B (gb) wrote: It's been such a long time since I've seen it...but I do remember thinking it was seriously funny.

Mike L (de) wrote: So ridiculous...obviously I only watched this to see Jenna Morasca and as much as I love her she can't one could in this movie...not one talent in the entire thing.

ime S (fr) wrote: Good old drama that you watch once and never again.

Private U (au) wrote: This is a first rate boxing drama with Robert Ryan (himself a former boxer) giving an excellent performance as a man who knows his time's almost up but believes he can still win one. Credit also to director Robert Wise who manages to create an atmosphere filled with great a supporting cast where you can almost smell the sweat and blood behind the scenes in the change rooms and in the ring. The fight scenes are shown in real-time and they stand-up well even by today's standards. It's interesting to note that the screenplay was based on a poem about a black boxer.
