This is an epic tale of two gangs, like The Jets and The Sharks. But Girl and Chocolate aren't even gangs. Some of them act tough and some of them act like babies. But they are even more unlike the Jets and The Sharks in that they aren't even battling each other for territory. They really don't know what the hell they are doing. They don't have a feud, most of them really like each other so that is another thing they don't have in common with the Jets and the Sharks. What they do have in common with The Jets and The Sharks is they love to dance. And when I say dance, I mean SKATE. And when I say SKATE, I mean really good. From the directors that brought you Mouse, Yeah Right and Fully Flared, another chapter in this tale with no plot, no ending but beautiful inner battles acted out on a little board with wheels.

Alexis N (de) wrote: weird. not that funny, just sorta of meh. it was a good idea done in that horrible indie film way.

One year is what she needed to achieve a lot. Is that so much to ask from loved ones? I think it says a lot, or little, for her friends. If my husband had to spend a year where I hardly saw him and it would change his life, what kind of husband would I be if I wasn't understanding!

Lots of fisherman and fisher folk lore. The still beating heart taken from one of the fish - bit creepy, also wondered why the Maori fish where their ancestors travel north at low tide. The fisher folk are prompted into some good musings on life

Ricky T (mx) wrote: Leprechaun 4: In Space is a silly and dull film. It's boring and keeps no interest in the viewer. It is obviously low budget because the effects are cheap. Besides, all of that, the acting is terrible. Throughout this film, I spent the whole laughing. If you're looking for a good scary film, this isn't it.

Timothy J (ag) wrote: Part of TCM's tribute to Christopher Lee. Meant to be a vehicle to reunite Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. And considered to be a cult classic. This is a pretty horrible movie.
Jen I (mx) wrote: A feel-good movie. I would watch it again. The best quote, "Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and you cry all by yourself."
Ben G (ag) wrote: A very good but somewhat stiff film. Von Stroheim plays his usual officer character but the whole story lacks of depth and nuances.
Claire A (kr) wrote: Need a wang? call Dafoe?! Does every film he does have to have the obligatory ass shot? I love him regardless. This film was a shit version of basic instinct. and its shit.
Jason C (ag) wrote: The same director as begin again and sing Street, brings a more indie music based film than the others. The story here is a little lacking, but the chemistry between the two leads is decent. The music keeps the movie afloat and makes for an average film.

Vlad M (mx) wrote: Magic is all about misdirection, and this movie leads you to believe you are watching a crime thriller but instead the big reveal is that it's a romcom. Fuck.
