Jenny, a deaf runaway who has just arrived in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district to find her long-lost brother, a mysterious bearded sculptor known around town as The Seeker. She falls in with a psychedelic band, Mumblin' Jim, whose members include Stoney, Ben, and Elwood. They hide her from the fuzz in their crash pad, a Victorian house crowded with love beads and necking couples. Mumblin' Jim's truth-seeking friend Dave considers the band's pursuit of success "playing games," but he agrees to help Jennie anyway.

Ruair C (jp) wrote: Made for fans of the film "Troll 2", this documentary forgoes even summarising the plot of the Best Worst Movie ever made, and focuses instead on the people who made the movie, and the cult fandom it now enjoys. While this can make it frustrating for the uninitiated, the undeniable charm and likeability of the movie's cast and fans will carry you through until the director (and "child-star" of Troll 2) resorts to exploiting one actress's personal struggles, humiliating some of the cast at an English Convention where nobody has even heard of the film, antagonising the admittedly pompous Italian Director of Troll 2 and revelling in a lot of self-congratulatory sentimentality when trying to sum up the impact of "Troll 2" as something something deeper and more profound than a laughably terrible low budget failure of a horror movie, all to fill out the runtime. There was a much better story to be told here about how, even with the best intentions, such a terrible film as Troll 2 can be made. In fact, many people throughout the film comment on this, however the director would instead rather focus on reliving moments from the movie and revelling in the adoration of cult followers, and himself, than carry out such an investigation. Segments with the writer of the movie and footage of the composer show they went to great lengths, travelling to Rome to meet these people, to get interviews (well, the composer doesn't get a word in but he plays the keyboard for a bit) but it amounts to two minutes screen time at best before we're whisked back to the States for more midnight screenings and fans telling us how amazing Troll 2 is.

Charles James I (es) wrote: Oh the sweet fringes of insanity.A mystery-thriller worthy of praise. Although it was a flop in the box-office, and even written off by Preminger himself, it still achieves at providing haunting suspense. What Preminger forgot to consider while disregarding his own work, is that once a film is made and released, it becomes OUR property. It even becomes it's own entity. I think this film will always be regarded highly by educated film-heads.The Zombies. Just awesome. Psychedelia meets schizophrenia. "Just out of Reach", "Remember You" -just a few of the tracks used. Whether used for dramatic effect, or just to add cool popular music to the soundtrack, it works wonderfully. Zombies integration is always a treat, on any facet. As a parent, losing a child due to negligence is possibly the most painful thing you could experience. Especially as an American, entering the old decrepit world of our ancestry, and gay ol' London town, it seems very frightening. For an hour and 45 mins, I became Ann Lake.

Justin A (fr) wrote: Another Dracula movie, albeit this time with some stunning visuals. The pacing is nearly perfect, tightening the knot bit by bit until the last act when it sort of lets off the gas pedal. That's pretty much why I have a hard time rating this movie higher. I loved the first 80 or so minutes, but the final act is a lot of "I'm going to go over there... no now here... okay, let's go back there" kind of nonsense. The anticipation builds when Dracula is on the ship, but as soon as he reaches his destination the movie gets dull and there is just too much that happens off camera. This is just a minor criticism, but it kept the movie from being a truly great horror movie. It was close to possibly being the best Dracula adaptation out there, but the final act just hurt it too much. Still, it's one of the better Dracula movies and definitely worth checking out.
