(it) wrote: Dead Snow is a really good zombie movie that is a bit of fun. It has a good balance between laughs and scares. The plot is not really new, but it's entertaining though. The effects, and the make-up, look really good, and fight scenes are great. Some of the characters were basically just there to be zombie chow, and the one character was also just there, but just to give exposition about the history of the place. It has good moments that are funny, and some moments that were effective. Dead Snow is probably the best thing to get to making a nazi zombie movie, until the sequel came out.

The story is emotional, funny and moving while doesn't seem to feel too full of itself. Although it can seem a little slow in places, overall it is one of the best true story movies I have seen in a long time.

(ca) wrote: If we're being ruthless - this film probably shouldn't have been made! A very weak premise, with Sam (DeVito) wanting to kill his wife (Barbara - Midler), only for her to be kidnapped by Ken (Reinhold) & Sandy (Slater), who mean well & get off in the end - great morals! Pullman's as wooden as ever in his first role and Midler is annoying - it's mostly just stupid, with a few laughs, but not enough.
