Ralph B (kr) wrote: They Come To America is a must see film to wake up America how easy it is for terrorists to cross our Southern border and do great harm to us. We must close the border to Mexico!

Robert O (au) wrote: Good flick and it takes a bit of a different angle on the whole growing op angle. well done with good filming and character development. I enjoyed watching this and got a few laughs out of it as well.

Steven S (ag) wrote: Generally entertaining and pretty engrossing. The sound and editing are particularly in its favour. I did wonder a couple times what the point of it all was, but I think it's nothing more than to show that consequences have actions, no matter where you are or who you are

Joshua R (fr) wrote: Meg Tilly really nailed down the role of Agnes. You really start to believe that she is Agnes. It wasn't surprising to me when I found out later on that she was nominated for an Academy Award for best supporting actress. I would have voted for her if I was an academy voter. She was outstanding.

Kyle S (ru) wrote: I don't usually watch these types of movies, but the song in the trailer hooked me for some reason so I gave it a shot. And it's not terrible. The story is strong enough, and the tease throughout the first 2/3 of the movie why Katie was were she was, starting with her running from someone onto a bus, and then through flashbacks. We see a cop looking for Katie though we aren't sure why. She finds her way to a little town on the water and slowly lets her guard down thanks to Jo and Alex. Of course then the secrets Katie has been running from find her and we head to a satisfying ending with a WTF moment thrown in at the end that I didn't see coming at all and don't mind despite how of the wall it is. overall this movie isn't a bad one for the genre. The dialogue can be weak sometimes, but the decent story, beautiful setting and surprise at the end make up for it.

Kevin R (au) wrote: I thought I had a son but I haven't...and I want one.Dunson is an honest but ridged Missouri man who wants the best for his people. Missouri is poor and going through tough economic times and he believes if he brings cattle back from Texas, it will help feed his people and gain him and his friends and family wealth. However, Dunson's adopted son turns on him to make the money on his own. Can Dunson protect his people and livestock from his ruthless adopted son?"I thought I told you to stay down.""You did.""Why didn't you?""Because I got up."Howard Hawks, director of The Big Sleep, His Girl Friday, Rio Bravo, Bringing Up Baby, Ball of Fire, Monkey Business, I was a Male Order Bride, and Scarface (1932), delivers Red River. The storyline for this picture is very interesting and unpredictable. The characters are very well written and fairly intense. The action scenes and dialogue were perfect for this film. The acting is very good and the cast includes John Wayne, Walter Brennan, John Ireland, Montgomery Clift, and Joanne Dru."Don't ever trust anyone unless you know them."I saw this film while flicking through the channels and decided to DVR it since I had never heard about or seen it. John Wayne was very young in this movie and was spryer than the Wayne pictures I am used to seeing. He played the gritty young man perfectly and his interaction with each character was perfect. I loved his performance and strongly recommend seeing this picture."There's no market for beef in the south but there is in Missouri!"Grade: A- (8.5)
