Douglas L (de) wrote: Batman seemed to be thrown in mainly because its Batman. He's the recruiter, but really JL Dark is fine without him. It was nice to see the darker heroes of DC shine in this one. Constantine and Deadman steal the show. I'm getting tired though of the same anime looking animation for DC animated films though. Switch it up.

Dylan M (au) wrote: Zero Dark Thirty is directed by Kathryn Bigelow and stars Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, and Chris Pratt. The film goes into detailed scenarios about the hunt for terrorist killer, Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty is a very well made film, The majority of the film is in-detailed, long scenes mostly of dialogue that can stray most audiences away from the film. But with Bigelow's intelligent story telling and pristine way of direction, she gives the film more wanted tension and steers it into a well told drama. Jessica Chastain gives a career breaking performance. Her clear devotion to the subject leaves a powerful, strong performance left on screen impacting the movie for the greater good. The films finale is fantastic. Even though most of us know the outcome, the final 30 minutes drips suspension. The POV action sequences are intensely done that will send chills down your spine. Zero Dark Thirty is an immensely done drama that adds a great thrilling aspect. Bigelows remarkable story telling and use of the camera results in Zero Dark Thirty becoming one of best films of the year.

Graham J (es) wrote: Forgotten, neglected seaside resort facing out of seaside hardship brings weaves through the hard luck complications of three friends and a stranger.Between vacated wooden properties and empty ageing seaside fairground the characters reflect a distinct lack of hope. This sad and unusual story evolves as the characters past meets their present and their past relationships unfurl. The French stranger clearly is concealing his intentions and the viewer is never sure whether they are driven by his dead wife's wishful intention. It's a simple story if not apparent in the early stages but the film ticks along and the down at heels resorts' winter struggles give the film a gritty realism.

Joel A (de) wrote: A musical done Woody Allen style, so by no means your typical musical. This has all the usual attributes of Woody Film but a throwback with an old Hollywood musical feel.Filled with an all star line up, this just seems to work a little uneven in parts but overall quite enjoyable, I thought Woody & Alan Alda where the stand outs. It's a bit more of a risk on his end & I feel he did ok, the story is a little recycled but his his usual brand mark is evident. A fun, fluffy film...
