Jacob H (ag) wrote: One thing is for sure, Michel Gondry loves his aunt. His tribute to her is another brilliant example casing that Mr. Gondry can't string a film together without a solid backbone or collaborator. Detached, impenetrable and verging on a bore I would not recommend this film.
WS W (fr) wrote: Quite disappointing indeed. Too many plot loopholes. Too affected to be something middle-class, stylish & moody.
Arun B (gb) wrote: A hell of a Spanish comedy about a complete loser who suddenly has to stand in for the goalkeeper in the decisive match that can grant his team the victory in the local league. The final penalty is postponed for a week, during which the spectators witness the events happening to the substitute goalkeeper. Those looking for a few laughs will not feel disappointed by this light comedy, which also boasts excellent performances by Mara Botto, Carlos Kaniowsky, or Enrique Villn. Benito Sagredo is a discovery here as the titular goalie, while Marta Larralde shows that she is no longer a promising actress but a fully skilled performer. IS EVERYTHING A FEEL GOOD COMEDY SHOULD BE.

Lester F (fr) wrote: I really liked this movie, great all around. It's dark comedy done right; superb dialogue and well acted. If you don't think about what's behind each scene in the movie, it may seem good but nothing special because it is not dramatic in it's themes, but if you dig a little deeper it is a commentary work life and what's important in life. No part of this movie is boring, and although Frank Whaley was good but Kevin Spacey was exceptional at playing his character and outshined him.I loved the ending, it isn't a happy one but it fits. It makes sense to the story and it a very 'real world' sort of ending, versus a fantasy. What the movie spoke to me was the question 'What's important in life?' and the priorities are important.
