(fr) wrote: The Western World gets paranoid and hysterical over a problem it created in this interesting documentary. Plenty of negative propaganda about other countries whilst the US is passed off as a guardian of the good. Nuclear weapons were created by the west and now we fear them perhaps this is our collective punishment for inventing them in the first place.

I was super unimpressed with Tyler's dancing, but made up for it by being super impressed with their ability to make a two hour movie with no character depth or anyone to care about on any level. And 4 sequels somehow. For me to not be thoroughly engrossed in a dance movie something is very wrong.

The Film Follows, Lee Holloway (Maggie Gyllenhaal), In Which After A Brief Stay In A Mental Hospital, Gets A Job As A Secretary. Holloway Develops An Obsessive Crush, On Her Boss Mr. Grey (James Spader). A Weird Relationships Develops In Which S&M Occurs. This Is A Quirky Drama, Which Sounds Like An Exploitation Flick But Never Actually Crosses That Particular Boundary. What We Are Presented With Is An Excellently Made Drama Which Focuses On The Characters Problems & How They Deal With It & Not By Their Actions. It's Wonderfully Written, Expertly Directed & Features Some Excellent Performances From Both Gyllenhaal & Spader, Who Are Obviously At The Top Of Their Game.
