Shot in an area that I visit almost every year, it was very down to earth with some quirks to keep it interesting. Accept it for what it is and you will not be disappointed. Don't go if you are a cosmopolitan type person. You will not get this movie at all. But if you are down to earth, I think this movie might mean something more than you might otherwise expect. Enjoy!

Its as if Jones has tried to roll ten films into one, include every epic vision he has ever had, accomplish in one bold stroke what took others a career. Nothing works. Jan Troell this is not.
