Tor M (it) wrote: This is in no way a quality movie. Put two hot girls on a "deserted" Island, include a hunk, add a bit of jelousy and some needed complications and you more or less got the plot. The acting is superbad, it's easy to figure, it seem very fake and staged and it's not funny. I lauged sometimes, yes, but not from moments supposed to be funny. It had some surprizing twists at some points, but they weren't for the better of it I think.I guess it's something to watch if you are in the mood for some "movie slaughter talking" while watching it. If you are up for something cute, funny or romantic you better run away from it and I recommend you run fast untill you're out of breath.

Dylan D (us) wrote: Joe Dirt is hardly a standout but it's a fun little diversion in its own unique ways, a movie that finds a nice balance between "stupid" and "touching." The script might have been a little tighter, the lead character a little more than a few basic strokes, but the film's center is true and its comic outer layer satisfies. David Spade handles the character as well as can be expected, and he's surrounded by a top-notch supporting cast.

Jordan K (kr) wrote: Sorry I've been so inactive lately, I was attempting to review on another site and I made my mind up that this site is my reviewing home. Anyways...Lean on Me has a likable charm to it, being one of Morgan Freeman's finest performances and having likable characters. The plot is extremely cliched, it's one of the many "we've got to save the _____" movies, but its great acting and memorable moments make up for a poor plot.Lean on Me follows a New Jersey high school, Eastside High. After a history of drug dealing and constant fights and bullying, a stern principal arrives to take over named Joe Clark, played by Freeman. He tries to prepare the school, which is basically hopeless, for a big test made by the state. He also makes debatable decisions such as firing the majority of teachers and kicking out any neer-do-well there. He also has a conflict with the fire marshal on locking school doors to keep out the kicked out students, eventually getting arrested for resisting all threats. The end is pretty predictable: Joe gets out of jail after all the students rally and the kids pass the test.Like I said, Morgan Freeman has an outstanding and incredibly real performance as the stern Joe Clark. The teens are typical '80s teens so they're obviously just meh. Lean on Me has the formula I mentioned earlier that so many other films have (I can name Max Keeble's Big Move off the bat, I dunno about others), but Freeman's performance and the fact that the plot sucks you in is worth all the while.

Jamie C (es) wrote: Love my Rocky films so nothing bad ever to say about the Rocky series I just wish they didn't try and promote the soundtrack so much in this one, The fights however were again more OTT but very entertaining, A little bit more of a drama than the third but it's more about the boxing action than anything.
