Andre M (jp) wrote: This is one of the strangest and most disturbing films I think I've seen. The visuals are amazing in parts and some of the scenes will infuriate you and stun you.I knew very little of the Indonesian genocide from 1965, but after watching this, I understand it a little more. The way one group labels another group as "communists" (and they use that term loosely to describe undesirables such as Chinese immigrants, left-wing thinkers, intellectuals, etc...) and then label themselves as "gangsters" which they interpret as "free men" is mind boggling.Even though I enjoyed the follow up movie called "The Look of Silence" more, this is still worth a watch if you want something very different than the mainstream Hollywood movie and you don't mind reading the entire movie (it's nearly entirely subtitled). It really makes you think.

Justin S (us) wrote: Spectre mini movie was awesome, avenges those with limitless power. Good tone and music. Actual movie was worse, crime syndicate kinda lame, like a mob.

The Doctor (ag) wrote: the best out of them

Grant T (ag) wrote: With a great and intriguing start, this Liam Neeson thriller had me going. However, it loses steam in the last half hour or so and doesn't deliver a show stopping finish as we would have hoped. Not a bad action flick, but there are better

Aaron M (kr) wrote: Another strong entry and this one seriously tugs on your heart strings. Not sure if its just me but as someone who grew up with these at a similar age to Andy it really does apply to me as a moral. All the favourites are back with the biggest adventure yet. Lots of laugh, colour and fun for the whole family.

Party Pete C (it) wrote: this is stupidly weird

Norm V (mx) wrote: Joy Boushel is in it. Nuff said, that's all you need to know. Short lil' bikini dance scene on a yacht by Joy.

William W (ca) wrote: An excellent experimental film Bergman made while his marriage to actress Liv Ullmann was disintegrating. As Greg Carson's 2004 bonus documentary short Disintegration of Passion makes aware, Bergman is at his most experimental here, having the actors actually ad-lib their dialogue at times, as he was in ennui and wasn't sure where to go with the picture while making it. The end shot of von Sydow's complete disintegration is wonderful. Highly recommended, though unusual phase of Bergman's career. Ullmann's insight, that the Swedish title, The Passion, is more accurate, is correct, since each of the four main characters are so confused and at a personal crossroads of sorts.

Daniel P (au) wrote: Magic Mike has a story worth telling, as well as a talented director and cast, but it mostly gets lost amidst all the overextended sequences of stripping and sexual shenanigans.

Kevin M (ru) wrote: Fun and funny. Good action and humor, A good illustration of the consummate reluctant hero and a fallen woman doing the right thing.

Shawn W (fr) wrote: Cop and former cocaine-smuggling boyhood friend duel over the same woman as the drug pushing friend has troubles from being dragged back to his past occupation. Three top stars of the day headline this well-financed effort. Never reeled me in. Would seek out these stars' other efforts.
