Reminding us yet again that they seem to just want to draw and recreate characters all over again, Disney have made a sequel for FernGully, possibly the worst of all their hand-drawn animation creations, and this second installment is just as bad. if possible worse, thanks to unoriginal ideas, and more of the same from the first movie. only brainless toddlers will enjoy this boring excuse for a film.

Will G (kr) wrote: Despite a promising beginning, which introduces interesting characters and what looks to be a slightly unusual plot with a focus on Egyptian engineering, the film eventually settles down into a predictable melodrama with the introduction of Joan Collins' character. Wooden acting from certain supporting players and corny dialogue compound the film's problems, although a neat final twist saves some face. The production values are stunning, and the film makes great use of its vast scale and numerous extras, most notably in a fantastic panning shot that takes in seemingly thousands of people. Hawks makes good use of his impressive sets, but is unfortunately unable to rescue the film from its well-worn, cliched narrative.

An American classic, and perhaps the most terrifying non-horror film ever made. "Dueling Banjos", first encounter with frightening back-country men, and climax on mountain are unforgettable highlights. Phenomenal editing by Tom Priestley, exhilarating river sequences are tip of the iceberg.
