Tracy R (us) wrote: It's far fetched, but it will make you squirm. Definitely not the run of the mill action film. Worth the watch.

Kenny N (au) wrote: Some good scares, but the first collaboration between writer Simon Barrett and horror director extraordinaire Adam Wingard is mostly forgettable and slow. The two would immediately improve with "You're Next" and their two entries into the "VHS" series. I checked this out because I was impressed with all of their work on that, but this one was unfortunately underwhelming. Ok but feel free to pass it up.

Doctor S (de) wrote: More like Slowdown at Area 51. This is the kind of movie where people are constantly urging "Let's go, we have to hurry!" and then creep along like they're in a haunted house. Not even Farscape's Gigi Edgley can salvage anything ater showing up 1/3 in with her sorely underwritten part. Weak in all respects.

Ralph R (ca) wrote: Let's try to confuse people into thinking this is Army of Darkness. I am not buying it.

Troy L (gb) wrote: For a low budget comedy its very funny and at times heart warming. A good example of r rated comedy. Not every film should be for kids LBSH.

Aaron C (kr) wrote: Quite delightful, taken for what it is. A series of mutant fish escape from some tanker and kill a bunch of people in the swamp. I'm game. I've watched more ridiculous things put on by less talented people. Truth is, Frankenfish is not abysmal at all. I think most people that watch these are after the gore (like me) and the absurdity of it. There's plenty to be had in the way of creative kills and characters to hate on. I'd like to add a question to detractors of these kinds of films. What the fuck are you expecting?

Clint K (jp) wrote: this is a great drama movie, most of the subjects i'm sure everyone has discussed at least once in their life

Matt B (fr) wrote: Phenomenal. Ray is one of my favorite autobiographic movies. Jamie Foxx isn't playing Ray Charles. He IS Ray Charles. It's one of the greatest performances in the history of cinema. The movie is passionately made by Taylor Hackford and features beautiful cinematography.

Joey F (br) wrote: It's really dumb, but it's also really clever. It's cheesy as can be, but so likable. I went in expecting to just groan the whole time (I did for the first third), but by the last third, I was enjoying myself thoroughly. It's not a masterpiece, but it's really fun.

Carlos M (gb) wrote: A hugely entertaining roller coaster of a movie that perfectly combines 2D animation with 3D background, dazzling us with exhilarating scenes of Tarzan surfing through the jungle trees and a classic story that offers a very nice message about acceptance and self-identity.

Timm K (us) wrote: Great looking German film, with lovely touches (open incest, WONDERFUL organ music, the set design) and a confused plotline.

Robin P (au) wrote: From the election of the Bolshevik to Stalin's death, this movie follows the life of Stalin and the cast of politicians around him. It is not concerned with politics but the storytelling and essential events. An awesome depiction of a brutally cold yet charismatic Stalin by Duvall.

Sean G (fr) wrote: Certainly the best WW11 Concentration Camp film ever made and deeply disturbing. This makes Schindlers List look tame by comparrison. If you don't end up depressed, sad and angry after watching this, you ain't human.

Ryan S (ag) wrote: This is another boring slasher that actually had a good premise and could have been so much better. It had flahses of brilliance, but they were few and far between. The one thing that was great though was the mask, but they really didn't actually show the killer and the mask very often at all, as they should have. This is also another movie with just far to build-up that leads to practically nothing. I'm all for suspense, but this isn't suspense, it just seems pointless and time-wasting. I see a lot of great reviews for this movie, but I don't see it up there with a lot of other similar slasher films of the '80s at all. It's original, I'll give it that, but they don't work with that originality enough, the thrown together twist ending being an example of that. That ending really just seemed simple like the type of twist just put in there for the sake of a twist and not because it actually made sense. I actually had a few other twists that would have worked so much better that I thought they should have went with, bastards should have traveled forward in time and listened to my ideas, dammit! lol.

Paul D (de) wrote: While I appreciate the idea behind this movie, and I certainly agree that better roles for other races is important, I just could not find this movie very funny. It had a few moments of amusement, but it could have been so much better. Perhaps in this day and age someone could revisit these themes.
