Tom D (ag) wrote: Do not expect anything like an episode of True Detective. This movie has an extremely weak script. Matthew McConaughey and the rest of the cast are wasted with this weak material. Definitely avoid this movie.

Elise M (us) wrote: Probably one of the most important documentaries about racism in the USA and the biased and flawed justice system. Darryl Hunt is a goddamn saint. It's as if the universe pinpointed him to be fucked with over and over and destroy his life for no reason. Is he full of vengeance or resentment? Not really. And that's commendable.

One feels privileged to be permitted to share a little of their lives & the journeys that those lives take them on.It is also interesting (& sometimes confronting) to recognise parallels in one's own life to those seen on screen & has certainly given me pause to think at times.I don't believe a film-maker could hope to achieve more than that.****4 & a half out of 5 stars****(This R/V applies equally to all films in the series.)

Adrian M (us) wrote: Wonderful, inspirational movie that marked John Travolta's return to the big time. The beautiful story of a simple man who suddenly becomes a genius, with so many touching parts to it. And negatives too. So realistic - if we can take the leap of faith that this is possible. Truly an inspirational and wonderful film.

Gimly M (gb) wrote: Lynch's strongest work is done when he fully embraces the most surreal aspects of filmmaking. In Wild at Heart we instead see something more reminiscent of Thelma and Louise with a handful of blatant Wizard of Oz references and the added disadvantage of Nic Cage in the leading role.

Kilo D (es) wrote: If one considers Ingmar Bergman's "Hour of the Wolf" to be a horror film, which it is with its gothic mood, then it's the best; if one were to compare "Hour of the Wolf" to Mr. Bergman's filmography, "Hour of the Wolf" isn't near his best. Nevertheless, "Hour of the Wolf" is a classic and a curious film from the master of, well, film. Nykvist, Sydow, Ullman, a third act that, on first viewing, surprises, mesmerizes, and always melts the face. Ingmar Bergman's dark tale is psychological horror's Pantheon and has been for over forty years.
