Nawara S (de) wrote: its a spotlight on what a war could do to a CHILDI think its important to make movies like this one , cause the western audience needs to re-think over the backgrounds of the immigrants before they judge them! The reason that this movie got a such success at least on Scandinavia, is that no one with Josef fares`s Background, made it before!Zozo is maybe not that perfect. but I think its very clever that the director used his own war experience to tell his story.I love showing the psychic conflict a teenager can go through in a totally strange country on the North .(When Zozo tries to win Swedish friends by stealing for them)

Grace S (es) wrote: It was great how they connected three separate movies. But they could have done so much better than they did, resulting in a horrible mess of a movie. First of all, Judith Gray and Brick Bardo were awesome in their own movies. And they throw in Nurse Ginger, a survivor from "Bad Channels". I have a few things to say though: Firstly, it was not Ginger who was left tiny in "Bad Channels" - it was Bunny! Second, why do the toys just magically appear when someone spills their blood in the warehouse? And third, if Brick Bardo comes from another planet, how would he know what a Ken doll is? I mean, he does not know who Arnold Schwarzenegger is, so how would he know what a Ken doll is? I guess the producers didn't do a very good job at noticing these pointers. Another gripe I had with the movie is that the running time is just over an hour, and there isn't much to recommend. I would suggest you check out the "Dollman" and "Demonic Toys" comics, though. They are somewhat better, and the toys are much more menacing.

The girl really wants to return to the north and settle down with her white husband; however, her grandmother owes a debt that must be paid. The light skinned girl postpones her plans to take care of a dying elder lady in hopes of repaying her grandmother's debt. "Look at that little swamp rabbit go." Elia Kazan, director of A Streetcar Named Desire, On the Waterfront, Baby Doll, Splendor in the Grass, The Last Tycoon, East of Eden, and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, delivers Pinky. The storyline for this picture is very interesting and combines southern prejudice with a crime drama that concludes the movie well. The script and plot is very well written and the acting is perfect. The cast includes Jeanne Crain, Ethel Barrymore, and Ethel Waters. "No matter how far you go, or how much you learn, you always got to bring it back." After watching East of Eden I searched and found several Kazan pictures that would soon be airing and decided to DVR as many as I could find. My wife picked this movie to view and it reminded me slightly of The Grapes of Wrath. The dialogue and characters were clever and this movie was very entertaining. This was not as good as some Kazan movies, but it is definitely worth your time. "Everyone has to die, granny." Grade: B
