A powerful feature documentary about child sexploitation, an epidemic happening in every country around the world. Filmed over a four year period, REDLIGHT focuses on the personal stories of young Cambodian victims and two remarkable advocates for change: grass-roots activist Somaly Mam and politician Mu Sochua. Using gritty footage smuggled out of brothels and harrowing testimonials, REDLIGHT follows the plight of several current and former child sex slaves. Some are trying to regain entry into Cambodian society to find some semblance of normality after their horrific experiences. Other stories highlight the plight of victims who are attempting to bring the perpetrators to justice. Their torturous yet ultimately heroic battles to find witnesses and take brothel owners to court are dramatically brought to life in this topical and moving feature documentary.

This movie is the most vile, anti semitic and racially insensitive thing I have ever seen and I have no clue how anyone could allow for this to be made or even find this funny. There is one particular scene that made pissed me off where they are giving away from boat rides to africa to people of african american decent not only are the cast incredibly racist and hurtful but at no point do they show any remorse or even apologise (even after one of the victims try's to beat the shit out of him and rightfully so). Fuck this movie and fuck anyone who finds it funny.

There is AN original idea there mutating the genes of a superhero movie with that of a chinese Kung Fu/Wushu film and some gags work. But the plotting is still forced and slightly incoherent and the acting slightly muggy. To end with a quote from my mom who watched it with me: it's ok, I guess, but it is no loss if you didn't see it. Bulls eye, mom!
