Christoph, cop and self-confident macho, has trouble with his fiance. After a long night he wakes up in the arms of Edgar, a good-looking, gay auto-mechanic. His live gets more and more troublesome after his girl friend throws him out of their apartment and as last resort he moves to Edgars place. Working together with a new, good-looking, very self-confident, female collegue, but living with a good-looking gay guy makes him pretty uncertain about his sexuality and his role as a cop. (kr) wrote: Solid little detective film with some strong moments. Could have been better with regards to pacing and twists. Val Kilmer is not at his best but he is still good. So its no True Romance but a good crime drama.
(mx) wrote: I want to see this. Watching c-span. Talking about how medicine doesn't want you to die but it doesn't want you to get better. Just keep coming back. That is BS! And we are at the half way mark compared to the rest of the world in projected life span....ridiculous!

(nl) wrote: Interesting documentary about how many sharks are almost at the brink of extinction because of still continued tradition of shark fin soup. Diver and film maker Rob Stewart has documented the struggle by some to save the sharks from illegal fishing (and especially cruel finning).
(it) wrote: So predictable. It told us from the start who the real killer was, so there was really no chance of this movie being suspenseful.

Interviews with those who were the children then, as well as well restored old footage from that time and place. Very moving documentary.

(ca) wrote: Criminally underrated Browning/Lugosi fare which trumps their more oft-celebrated 'Dracula' collaboration. Made four years after that outing, this film not only has twice as much wicked atmosphere and better performances all around, but it also boasts a delightfully dark sense of humor and a very advanced self-reflexive look at the genre and at Lugosi's charmed/cursed legacy. This structure, and the way the narrative takes advantage of our willingness to surrender ourselves to horror storytelling, predicted some of the more popular modern story trends we see today; but in an age of "what you see is what you get", Browning pulled a fast one on an audience that wasn't prepared for the shock of the film's final sequences- and that jolt is still electrifying today.
(mx) wrote: Decent acting for pre-method acting, but not cohesive. I know that was the point, but it didn't come together well enough for me.
