Carlos M (au) wrote: Chandor creates a gripping and intelligent drama that relies on a careful pace, a very sharp ensemble cast and constant first-rate dialogue to depict with a fascinating and acute realism the 24 hours prior to the financial crisis of 2008 at an investment firm.

Anna C (us) wrote: Beau Bridges and Aidan Quinn are professional and the two young leading are interesting, but the story doesn't stand on , it gets more and more complicated until it becomes totally absurd. A missed chance.

James K (au) wrote: Probably the shittest movie i've seen in about 20 years. Their was no plot no standard intro middle and ending. THe horror was absent and the cast were usless. The only intresting part was the start of the military entering the town, but that was it. We were left to work out what was going on. And there was no explanation. Some people were diseased the soldiers were evil gun toting manics and the there was a creature running around killing people which couldn't be killed by the soldiers cause that have poor aim but the lead actor can kill it with a knife but alas she is killed but a sadistic soldier who can't tell the difference between her and this 7 foot tall hairy mutant.... Sorry for ruining the movie but it truely is work of shit and needs to be left alone.

Xander K (es) wrote: A little bit Romeo and Juliet, a little bit Trail of Tears, and not at all Pixar. Some of the animation is pretty, but it's not at all polished in the ways we've come to expect. The story is simultaniously cliched and not quite finished. For example, what does Kyla do to convince the army? And how does the stampede magically cease the war between the tribes? And why in the world does Delgo learn Elder Marley's forgiveness lesson at the exact wrong moment?

Aaron B (fr) wrote: Did I enjoy myself while watching it? Yeah, sure. Would I ever rewatch it? Probably not. And that's really what it comes down to. This big budget Hollywood disaster movie serves its purpose, but won't go down in history as a classic. It was cool to see young Danielle Harris in something other than the Halloween movies, though.

Cheung W (de) wrote: My first encounter with this movie was on rental in ?lesund. (I've finally managed to find it for buying after about 4 years in 2006)The story involves four friends that grow up together. Each with its own quite different family backgrounds. We follow them through from their childhood to their manhood and different situations leading them to develop to how they've become. In short this movie is both very violent, but leaves also sympathy for the main characters for the actions they are taking.Being a drama I can only tell that there's some tragedy in the end.Details are rich and scenes and visuals are very good. Dialogs are ruff and matters as how to gain respect, friendship and loyalty are heavily in place. Some dark humor are also in place (but maybe only if you see between the lines). The scenes contain no superb martial arts scenes or any 3D visuals as many movies tend to have now a days. This provides the movie with a very realistic view and story.A must see movie in my opinion, and one of my top favorite movies.

James C (fr) wrote: Follow up to "The Robe" has Victor Mature as a gladiator in Caligula's empire and bedding Susan Hayward (but offscreen as this is a Biblical Epic.) Jay Robinson is back as Caligula and chewing up what remaining scenery he missed from "The Robe." Look for an early performance by Anne Bancroft being totally wasted on this as well as a hunky Michael Conrad from "Hill Street Blues" and Julie Newmar as a dancer. Franz Waxman's epic score uses themes from Alfred Newman's music from "The Robe" to good effect.
