David L (au) wrote: Balto could have used better characterization, there are too many filler scenes, some characters are pretty annoying and the humor is so-so, but it also has solid animation, terrific real-life story, some moving sequences and engaging plot. It is very flawed and formulaic, but quite a solid and endearing film nevertheless with a beautiful live-action opening and finale. It is definitely one of the most underrated animated movies of the nineties.

His actions and facial expressions are priceless. This film was on in the afternoon so i watched it and i enjoyed it - from the wacky racing to the set pieces it was a fun film for the whole family to for Richard Dawson of Family Feud fame in a small part as a bar patron and coffin carrier. 55%
